Sometimes you have questions before you are ready to book — you want to know the price of a procedure, whether the clinic accepts a certain insurance, or how long a treatment takes. The patient messaging feature on NgipenHub lets you ask those questions directly, without creating an account and without picking up the phone.
Which Clinics Have Messaging?
Patient messaging is available on paid plans, and Free clinics can use a limited lightweight inbox. On these profiles you will see a "Message Clinic" tab alongside the other tabs. If the tab is not present or the clinic has reached its free messaging limit, you can still reach them via the phone number, email address, or social links listed in the Contact section of their profile.
Sending Your First Message
Open the clinic profile and click the "Message Clinic" tab. You will see a short form asking for:
- Your name — how you want the clinic to address you.
- Your email address — this is where the clinic's reply notifications go, and where you'll find your unique conversation link.
- Your message — be specific. Instead of "How much is cleaning?" try "How much is oral prophylaxis for an adult, and do you have slots on weekday evenings?"
Once you hit Send, a new conversation thread is created in the clinic's inbox. The clinic will see your message and can reply directly from their dashboard.
Following Up on the Conversation
After your first message is sent, you will receive an email with a unique conversation link. This link is your access point to the full thread — you can see all messages, send follow-up questions, and read the clinic's replies at any time.
There is no need to start a new conversation every time you have another question. Simply open your link and send a new message in the same thread. The clinic will be notified.
What to Use It For
- Asking for price estimates before committing to an appointment.
- Checking availability for a specific date or time.
- Asking about a procedure you are nervous about.
- Sending dental X-rays or photos for an initial remote assessment.
- Following up on a previous visit or confirming post-treatment instructions.
Your conversation link is private and unique to you. Do not share it publicly — anyone with the link can view and continue the chat thread.
Response Times
Most clinics on NgipenHub aim to reply within the same business day. If you have not heard back after 24 hours, consider calling the clinic directly — messaging works best for non-urgent inquiries. For toothaches or emergencies, always call.
